Hi, I’m Sarah! I’m a wife, the mother of two wonderful girls, and I was a public school teacher for 10 years before I had kids. As a breastfeeding mother, I encountered so many challenges: weight gain concerns, supply issues, pumping at work, among so many others. I’m very grateful for the helpers that surrounded me during these difficult times, and it’s their support that inspired me to begin my career as a lactation consultant.

As an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), I enthusiastically help my families reach their feeding goals: from nursing to formula feeding to somewhere in between. I combine my personal experience and instinctual compassion with a wealth of factual knowledge to help my families flourish in the postpartum period and beyond. My years of experience as a doula working with families in the postpartum period guides my lactation support. I look at the “whole picture” of the family and the baby. By referring to my extensive training on newborn sleep, infant development, and postpartum recovery, I help families understand how these aspects are invariably intertwined with nursing and eating patterns. The postpartum period is difficult but fleeting; I love working with families to make adjustments so that breastfeeding becomes manageable and so they can enjoy their time with their baby.

In my free time (ha!) I love reading, knitting, gardening, hula hooping, doing arts and crafts, and playing outside with my family. We live in Ipswich, Massachusetts with our two cats, Merlin and Lola.
