If the lactating person has Aetna or Meritain insurance, I will bill their insurance plan directly. It is the patient’s responsibility to verify that I am an in-network provider for the plan. I bill conservatively, so there is almost always no cost-sharing to the patient (no co-pays or deductible payments).

Aetna Initial and Follow-Up Consults can be In-Home or Office.
Return to Work and Weaning Consults must be Office visits.
Aetna Prenatal consults may be Office (45 minutes) or Virtual (30 minutes).
Aetna will NOT cover Virtual consults, except 30 minute Prenatals.

All In-Home Consults are subject to a $50 Home Visit Convenience Fee; this fee is ineligible for insurance coverage. You can avoid this fee by booking an Office Consult.
For families in the grey shaded towns on this map, there will be an additional $50 Extended Travel Fee that is ineligible for insurance coverage.

If your baby does not have Aetna insurance, there will be a $50 fee that is not eligible for insurance coverage. You can submit an out-of-network reimbursement request to their insurance company, but I cannot guarantee reimbursement.
